Contracts for each team are listed in the league's Spreadsheet. Please check those pertaining to your team and let us know if there are any errors or omissions. League SpreadsheetNote: Updated w/ latest spreadsheet (as of 1/2020).

Do you know if there's a way to search through that workbook while it's online? Like if I want to check and see if a player is rostered.

I don't think so. I've been looking for a similar feature myself.

I chose this one for my own league since you can at least import an excel file to your computer and then use excel to search, but I really want to find something that allows you to search right online. sheet.zoho.com

That's basically what you can do with the Google system. In fact it's easier to establish the system in excel and upload. Course you wind up having to re-format and re-enter formulas but at least the data entry part is quicker.

I meant others can import an excel file from the web page and search it. I don't see that option available on the google one.

Gotta say that Zoho seems to be a lot faster than Google in terms of loading, editing, etc. Upl;oaded an excel sheet and kept the formulas whereas with Google I had to re-enter them. I may switch our sheets over.

Just a guess, but I'd say the Mets total salary of $14.5m is a mite off.

Jeff Baker was signed to a $530,000 contract, so he's not on the $400,000 league minimum.
Tim Lincecum makes $1,500,100 - not a straight $1.5m.
Other than that, my team is as listed.

I sent an e-mail concerning problems but never received a response. Here's the text...
I've got a number of differences between what I was told and what is on the spreadsheet:
Corey Hart: TOLD: 395k; SHEET: 400k Dan Johnson: TOLD: 390k; SHEET: 400k Jason Jennings: TOLD: Contracted till '09; SHEET: Contracted till '10 (Mistake?) Hideki Okajima: TOLD: 375k; SHEET: 1.25M (Mistake?) Adam Jones: TOLD: 380k; SHEET: 400k Callaspo, Nippert, Petit: 300k; SHEET: 400k
Jennings' extra year is likely an accident as well as Okajima (looks like it was copied from Moylan). But I don't get the 400k salaries. Is there some rule that I missed that raised these guys salary?
Thanks,
-Shawn, KC

The league's minimum salary was raised to $400k. If a player's MLB salary was less, the $400k figure is used. The only exemption was for players with an existing KIA contract of less than $400k. Nippert and Callaspo both lost the MiLB statys after 2007 and must be costed at their MLB salary or the league minimum ($400k).
Jennings - 09 is correct

I sent an e-mail concerning problems but never received a response. My bad. That was my fault. I didn't get around to addressing it just yet. I think Peter addressed the others already, but I'll address this one. Basically, Okajima was signed as a prospect at 375K -- at the time, we didn't have any definitive ruling that Japanese players (w/ Japanese pro league experience) would not be considered prospects. And when Okajima lost his prospect status going into 2008, he gets his real life MLB salary since it's greater than the prospect salary. And it may of course go up higher (or lower as in the case of Adam Loewen) over the course of his 3-year protection period (though you are allowed to drop him for free during the offseason as usual). I'm not sure who told you his salary is just 375K for 2008. That was just his prospect salary and was only valid for 2007 (since he lost his prospect status). As for the other issues, only prospects (and MLB players under grandfathered MKIA contracts) can have salaries below 400K as Peter noted. Again, sorry for the late response.

Thanks to both Peter and Man. Two things I apparently didn't read about and/or know. As for Okajima, if the salary increase only happened this year, then it explains why he was still listed as 375k. I grabbed the team information from 2007 when I joined most likely... and none of the contracts (including those less than 400k) were updated. No biggie. It just worried the heck out of me. And of course these things raise my overall salary higher than anticipated. Just glad I'm not over budget because of it. And it may of course go up higher (or lower as in the case of Adam Loewen) over the course of his 3-year protection period (though you are allowed to drop him for free during the offseason as usual). So this information has to be re-verified every year on Cots'? Also, when does a Japanese player lose prospect status? Same rule as any other prospect? Thanks again guys. -Shawn

Yeah, a prospect is a prospect whatever his nationality. Same treatment for all.
Cot's is our contract bible ........ every year it's got to be referred to. ;D

Only players not affected at all by real life salaries (per Cot's) are the ones that receive complete MKIA contracts via FA auction. Prospects that are signed via FA auction are still subjected to real life salaries once they lose their prospect status -- and in that case, it would be whichever's higher between their original signed prospect salary and the real life one.
And as of this year, all Japanese players who played pro ball in Japan are *not* considered prospects for MKIA. Those previously acquired as prospects (from previous years) get grandfathered -- and they all probably lost their prospect status by now and are somewhere in their 3-year protection period.
