Dodgers waive Carlos Quentin and remain responsible for 1/2 of his 4-year contract, ie. 1/2 of 1.8M, 1.8M, 4.2M, 4.2M from 2014-2017.

Dodgers complete the buyout of the rest of this obligation (totaling 5.1M still owed) w/ one lumpsum before the season begins as allowed by rule 6.2.iii.
