The cross-town rivals, White Sox and Cubs, have agreed to a sign and trade deal for Ketel Marte. The ChiSox will send a signed Marte (discounted AAS of $17M) to the Cubs for pick 2.6 in the upcoming draft and the Cubs 2021 4th round pick.
Financial breakdown per the request of the Cubs:
2020 - $10M
2021 - $20M
2022 - $20M
2023 - $18M
2024 - $17M
