The League's first annual prospect draft will begin Saturday March 1st 2008 at 6 AM PST.
1. The draft order is based on the reversed order of standings as follows and will be the same for each round. (This is not a snake draft.)

2. Braves
3. Cardinals
4. Rangers
5. Cubs
6. White Sox
7. D Rays
8. A's
9. Angels

2. Players drafted in round #1 will have a salary cost of $500,000. Players selected in the 2nd - 5th rounds will be costed at $300,000.
3. Only players who meet the MKIA prospect eligibility criteria and who are under contract to a MLB team may be drafted.
4. Foreign professional players are not eligible for this draft until they have signed with an MLB team.
5. Teams will be allowed 6 hours to make their selection.
6. The time clock will not operate from Midnight to 6 AM PST.
7. If the draft runs into the regular season, you may still replace a prospect already on your roster with a newly drafted prospect and not be responsible for 50% of the salary of the released prospect provided that released prospect was not acquired in FA. Otherwise, the usual rules for releasing players apply.
8. Draft picks are tradeable.
9. As a courtesy, teams which have completed their selections prior to the end of the draft should advise the LO accordingly so that they can be skipped in subsequent rounds.
10. Any prospect eligible player not drafted may be acquired as a FA after the MKIA draft is completed. However, players acquired by MLB via the current year June draft (ie. 2008) may not be acquiired as FAs until after next year's MKIA draft (ie. 2009).
