troy percival 08-10 2.4m 11 4m 12-14 5.6m Sorry for the confusion. Apparently, we did already have the precedent ruling (from last year) regarding contract term limits on aging players, so Percival's contract should be 3 years (since he's age 38), not 7.

It's "chastising", and bidding $28 million dollars over 7 years on a 38 year old injury prone reliever is retarded, no doubt about it.
I can accept a 3 year risk, especially since I can trade him to a tard like you somewhere down the line before the season starts anyway.

the league office apologizes for not catching the 7 yr RFA on percival and the age thing. this does not set a precedence however we are human and make mistakes.
