When does trading start? When do we name our FA's, etc? What's the upcoming timeline?

I'm sure a respected LO member will formally address this, but in a nutshell,
Trading is re-opened that day following the end of the World Series.
Deadline for annoucement of tag applications will be announced by the LO and I would expect that deadline to be no sooner than Dec 31.

It would help if everyone would work thru his own roster (and payroll info) showing all details in full to help ensure roster limits and salary cap compliance before we reopen (offseason) trading.
That also means doublechecking to ensure you've applied all transactions (both recent and old, forgotten/overlooked) to your roster/payroll.
Thanks for your cooperation...

RE: the tags deadline, it will most likely be some time around mid-January -- to be followed by the annual RFA auction process. We should probably also require league fee payment (as part of the usual "check-in" process) a couple weeks or so *before* the tags deadline. I don't want to see another Wilder Pitch situation here (not that this group has been as bad about that as the WP group).

And Free Agent bidding also resumes after the World Series?

No, free agency starts after the tags are completed.

Right, I meant any of the FA's that are still currently available. Surely we can't do the big bidding til after tags are completed. Sounds like, though, there's no more bidding at all til tags are done. Cool, thanks Kris. So looks like the next few months becomes a trading frenzy.

It was mentioned in an earlier PM or post about us making sure we were MiLB limits compliant.
I have to assume that means based on the MiLBs status prior to the 2010 season since some GMs who carried the bare minimum of 10 "MiLBs" may have had 1 or more lose that status during the season and will have to re-allocate in the off season?
