In another move to shore up our pitching for the stretch run, the Dodgers acquire 37-yo knuckler R. A. Dickey (1.5M) from the Rays in exchange for Jaime Garcia (3.25M, protected thru 2013).
Garcia's a fine, young lefty who's been a valuable part of our past success, but unfortunately, he doesn't seem quite ready to help us in this tight race for the stretch run in his return from the DL, so we must reluctantly bid him farewell w/ the Rays and hope for a boost from Dickey.
