Dodgers and Rays rumble... a little...

After quietly burning some midnight oil, the Dodgers and Rays come to agreement on a deal that may help strengthen both teams' future while making the most of each's current situation.

The Dodgers will send some prized youngsters Jeff Clement, Carlos Gonzalez and Billy Rowell along w/ a pair of solid veterans in Carlos Guillen (5.4M, 12.52M for 08-09) and Nate McLouth (4.5M for 08) to the rebuilding Rays in exchange for Stephen Drew, Gary Sheffield (6.5M for 08) and the Rays' 2010 (ie. post-2009) RFA tag (to help us sign Drew beyond 2009).
