... finally also agree to a deal -- after weeks of on-and-off talks. Dodgers will send top young gun prospect Scott Elbert along w/ FA-to-be Aaron Cook to the Reds for FA-to-be closer David Weathers and FA-to-be Zack Greinke.
We needed the pitching help for our Sept run, and had to part w/ the very promising young Elbert even though it's gonna hurt in the future. And it doesn't look like Cook will quite make it back from the DL to help us now.
