It's the time of year to make some tough decisions, and the Angels and Marlins collaborated on a trade involving just that.
The Halos have agreed to send SP Jake Westbrook and OF Alex Rios to the Fish in exchange for UT player, Rob Mackowiak. The Angels cited cap issues and a crowded OF as the reasons for structuring this deal.
The Marlins will confirm after they return from dinner down at South Beach.

After a non-public retracted approval, the Marlins were informed that a rework was needed...the Angels' camp musta had communication problems since they heard of a needed rework second hand from the Fish.
Here's our rework -
The Halos have agreed to send SPs Jake Westbrook, Caludio Vargas and Jason Vargas, and OF Alex Rios to the Marlins in exchange for UT (big bat) Pedro Feliz and Rob Mackowiak. The Angels continue to cite cap issues and a crowded OF as the reasons for structuring this deal.

This deal was essentially Mac and Feliz for Westbrook and Rios with the Vargas' a throw in for cap reasons on the Angels behalf. Confirmed.
