Trying to avoid hurricanes and make a playoff run tends to keep the Halos' management on its toes. Moments ago, they swung a deal with the Seattle based Diamondbacks.
The Angels have agreed to ship 1B Nomar Garciaparra and SP prospect Kyle Sleeth to the DBacks in exchange for the steady KC OF, Emil Brown. Even with the season finally taking it's toll on Nomah, this was a very tough deal on which to pull the trigger. Sleeth had to be included to make it worthwhile for the DBacks to take on Nomar's dollars this year.
We welcome Emil and look forward to his contributions for the remainder of this season.
